Maintenance: HPC Walrus, September 23, 2026, 8:00 a.m. – 11:59 p.m.

Maintenance on the Walrus file system will take place on September 23, 2026.

On that day, the Walrus file system will be unmounted on all compute, login, Datamover, Dataport, and GridFTP nodes starting at 8:00 a.m. In addition, the Walrus licenses will be set to 0, so no jobs with the Slurm parameter “–licenses=walrus” will be started at that time. If you have not yet specified a file system license, the system automatically assumes that you need access to all available file systems and will automatically enable all file system licenses.

Therefore, please make sure to explicitly select only the file system licenses for the file systems you actually wish to access.
