The current certificate expires on March 19, 2026. A new certificate https://www.aai.dfn.de/metadata/dfn-aai.pem will be provided by DFN AAI on March 12, 2026. This certificate is used by your Shibboleth Service Provider to verify the signature of the DFN AAI metadata. Is urgent action required? No, the Shibboleth Service Provider (shibd) will still be able to verify the DFN AAI metadata, as the DFN AAI uses the same private key. The validity is not evaluated by shibd. If your service provider (not shibd) or a monitoring process evaluates the validity of this certificate, we recommend obtaining the new certificate from March 12, 2026.
