  "body": "\u003cp\u003eOn March 10, 2026, starting at 10 a.m., an IOPS limitation will be introduced in the virtualization environments of the Enterprise Cloud.\nThe aim of this measure is to increase the stability of the overall infrastructure, ensure fair resource distribution, and avoid peak loads.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe IOPS limit describes the maximum number of read and write operations per second that a storage system can perform. The actual bandwidth depends on the block size: With a typical block size of 4 KB, an IOPS value of 3000 corresponds to approximately 12 MB/s, while with 64 KB, the same IOPS value enables a bandwidth of 192 MB/s.\nThe standard IOPS limit in the Enterprise Cloud is 3000 IOPS per virtual hard disk. In the Research Cloud, however, these limits already exist, with the standard limit there being 1000 IOPS per virtual hard disk.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBased on our performance metrics, we have already identified VMs that regularly have increased IOPS requirements. These systems have been proactively assigned a higher IOPS limit. The respective IOPS limit can already be viewed in the Self-Service-Portal in the notes for the respective VM.
